レーシングビート
Racing Beat is an arcade-exclusive Formula 1 video game developed and published by Taito in 1991. In Racing Beat, players drive a Formula One car on one of four available circuits—located in France, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan—each with a different difficulty level. The game features two modes: single-player and multiplayer. In single-player mode, the player's goal is to set a new record by completing four laps of the chosen track before time runs out. Colliding with a rival car or a roadside billboard results in a time penalty. During the race, players must monitor their car's tires; a tire-shaped icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen indicates tire wear—the more faded the icon becomes, the harder the car is to handle. To remedy this, players can make a pit stop by pressing the designated button at the end of a lap. Once activated, the car automatically enters the pits, and the crew replaces the tires within seven seconds—a process that impacts the total race time, though not excessively so. Finally, in multiplayer mode, up to four players can race simultaneously via LAN, choosing from the four aforementioned circuits and competing for first place.
